Mary Cunningham

Mary has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Sydney in 1994. She was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in December 1996 and to the High Court of Australia in July 1997. She completed her Masters of Laws at the University of New South Wales in 1998.

Before settling on commercial law in 1996, Mary obtained broad experience in community law through her work as a lawyer in the government sector and at the Justice Research Centre.

She spent almost eight years with James Legal before commencing her own legal practice with Cunningham Legal in July 2004.

Mary has a flourishing and diverse clientele. She has a wealth of experience in commercial litigation matters and also in dealing with individual legal needs including alternative dispute resolution where possible.

Mary has broad corporate and commercial experience in areas including commercial litigation; building and construction law; property transactions (business and personal); debt recovery; advice on corporations law and corporate governance to companies and directors; wills and estates; contracts and employment law.

Mary is on the Board of SSO Media and on the Board of the Aurora Group - A Ruby Foundation.
